Booking Policy
Shelynda African Braiding Studio — Please read all policies carefully before booking your appointment.
Deposit & Payment
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. The deposit will be applied towards the final cost of your service. The remaining balance is due on the day of your appointment. We accept cash, debit card, credit card, CashApp, and Zelle.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment with sufficient notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee of 50% of the total service cost. Same-day cancellations may be charged 80%, and no-call no-shows will be charged 100% of the service cost.
Hair Preparation
Please arrive with your hair clean and detangled. Detangling is an additional service that incurs an extra charge. If you desire a specific hair color or a mix of colors, please notify us at least 2 days before your appointment. An additional fee may apply.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be shortened or cancelled at the stylist's discretion. Please contact us ahead of time if you are running late. No refund will be issued for late arrivals that result in cancellation.
Extra Guests
Due to health and safety protocols, no extra guests are allowed in the shop during your appointment unless otherwise arranged in advance. This policy is strictly enforced.
Photo Consent
By booking an appointment, you grant us consent to photograph your completed style for promotional use on our website and social media platforms. We will respect your privacy and will not associate your full name with the photographs unless permitted by you. Contact us in writing if you wish to opt out or have photographs removed.
